Application Instructions

1. Maintain pH Levels: Keep the pH level within the ideal range of 7.2 – 7.6. If your levels are outside this range, use our pH Plus or pH Minus products to adjust accordingly.
2. Free Chlorine Residuals: Aim to maintain free chlorine residuals within the recommended range:
   • Spas: 3 – 5 mg/l (ppm)
   • Swimming Pools: 1 – 3 mg/l (ppm)
   • For freshly filled spas, apply an initial shock dose of chlorine: 50 mg/l (ppm) for 1 hour or 20 mg/l (ppm) for 2 hours.
3. Direct Application: The granules can be applied directly to pools or spas when temperatures exceed 20 degrees Celsius. If below this temperature or if you’re uncertain, it’s advisable to pre-dissolve in a clean plastic container at a rate of 10g per 0.2 gallons (1 litre) of water. Stir well until fully dissolved, then add the solution to the pool or spa while the pumps are running.
4. Repeat Application: If necessary, repeat the dose application to achieve the desired chlorine levels.
5. Regular Shock Dosing: To eliminate excess contamination, it is recommended to periodically (weekly or after heavy spa use) perform a shock dose.
