This fitting is made to join 1.5″ pipe to 1.5″ pipe commonly found before and after filters, heaters and pumps. It also allows you to disconnect pipe without having to cut the pump, making it easier to remove your hardware e.g: Pump, filter and heater if they need repairing or replacing.
